About the Foundation

Founded in 2016, The Scandinavian School Foundation supports the work of the school. Our goal is to foster an innovative curriculum which respects each child as a full citizen and steward of the earth. We seek to be a leader in our community, sending our students out into the world where they can thrive as independent and self-confident explorers of our world.

What Your Donations Accomplish

  • Providing teacher training and opportunities for Reggio Emilia-inspired Conferences and other Professional Development Workshops

  • Providing ecological programming and workshops geared toward specific areas such as mindfulness, yoga, music, play, diversity, BLM, etc.

  • Upgrade technological resources and equipment

  • Funding scholarships to other Scandi families impacted by Covid-19 and/or future families who would like to attend SSJC with this support

  • Improving the backyard and outdoor recreation spaces at the school, including building an outdoor shelter/sunroom for inclement weather

  • Improving our School Library, providing rich topics from social emotional development to diversity and inclusion and more
